wiper motor
it seems to me me i have no luck with the wiper motor but i tried 4 diffrent motors and they all work the same speed and they stop where they are when i turn them off
is there a way to fix them so they reset to the bottom and speed them up is there faster motors out of a diffrent model or year that uses the same bolt pattern that i can wire in

Re: wiper motor
The fact that you've tried 4 different motors and can only get them to work on one speed sounds to me like you are probably dealing with a switch or wiring problem.
Not returning to the parked position when switched off might also be a wiring problem. There is a "parking switch" mounted in the gearbox portion of the motor. If I remember correctly, the 1978-up permanent magnet wiper motors have a separate 2-wire plug that connects to that parking switch. So make sure the terminals in that connector are making good contact and that the wires aren't damaged. I'm not aware of any other wiper motors that will be a direct bolt-in swap. However, the originals are pretty quick when they're working correctly. What slows them down is usually things like old worn out brushes in the motor, old dried out grease in the gearbox and linkage pivot points, and sometimes excess resistance in the wiring due to a bad switch and/or loose/dirty/corroded connections. |

Re: wiper motor
There is also a wiper motor delay controller located on the bottom side of the steering Colum under the dash. It has a large heatsink on it. Mine has failed so I only have two speeds for my wipers (on & off). I found that put the hard way by swapping motors myself too.
