Removing in cab tank?
What have you guys done with the brackets that held the tank down? Kinda ugly, even behind the seat. Was thinking about cutting back to the bolts and welding a piece to cover the gaps. I'll post pics when done unless someone had a better idea. Thanks.

Re: Removing in cab tank?
Really none of my business, but why remove the cab tank?
I am in the process of putting mine back into the cab. Seems like a lot of work for little gain to remove it. Good luck either way.

Re: Removing in cab tank?
I've seen where guys have used them as a shelf bracket, side to side and boxed across the front..cover it with the same carpet as is on the floor, cleans it up nicely.

Re: Removing in cab tank?
Here's what I did with mine. I just sliced off the front portion and the vinyl full floor mat covers up what's left:

Re: Removing in cab tank?
Markeb01, that's what I had on mind to do. Thanks for the pics.
The reason I'm removing the tank is they smell on a hot day, not as much capacity as a frame mounted tank and safer. I'm also putting a fuel injected engine in and want to install a fuel pump inside the tank, not external. To noisy, been there done that. I have to redo my whole fuel system anyway. Thanks for your thoughts on this. Posted via Mobile Device
