Thanks! The Highlander plaid makes this truck for me--would be easier to see the seats if it was slammed

X2! Just needs stock wheels and caps. You can never go backwards to "original".

The only thing I did to mine was a lift.New tires/rool bar/and a brush gaurd soon to be added

More tinkering. Found out I had a nice little leak at the upper corner of the windshield when it rained the other day...

I knew I was missing the drip deflectors (on order), but this leak was coming from a different area. Looking around, I found that there were no bolts in the visors holding the corners of the top down (!), hence the drippy-ness on the floorboard (and my leg). Grabbed a couple of stainless, 5/16-18 phillips screws, 2.5" long (thanks for the info, forum search!).

While I was at it, I also decided to replace the PO's ugly top hold-down hardware with something a little more 'correct' looking--at least to my eye. Not going for a concours resto here, but the hardware store bolts just were not doing it for me. Did a quickie polish on the stainless top hold-down strips, too. Much mo' betta now

You guys got me thinking... I really like the look of BBrendal's Blazer on the 15x8s with dog dishes. I know Stockton Wheel makes these in up to 16x12 to accept factory hubcaps. Hmmmmmm...

I'm loving this blazer exactly how it is. BUT, if you still want a blazer to modify, and don't want the guilt associated with molesting this original, we can trade straight across. Trust me, there is no guilt in modifying this blazer.

The Good: I like the fact that I didn't have to have a custom top made. Installation was what I expected (easy with a few hiccups - prolly just a 40 yr old rig kind of thing).

The Bad: The back end is very square looking when viewed from the side. I wish that Softopper had kept more true to the hardtop lines. Also, back flap is secured to the tailgate with hook-n-loop instead of snaps. Made for a quick install but feels a lil cheap to me. :shrug:
