New to this forum

Just wanted to give a shout out to say Hi. I am new to this forum. My grandfather recently gave me his 71 gmc 4x4 pickup. He was a mechanic so kept it mechanically sound, in the garage all of its life. I am proud to be the new owner.

It will need body and paint (he was a farmer), and some minor stuff to make everything in good working order. I look forward to learning from everyone's experience and wisdom.

Re: New to this forum

Welcome to the best truck site on the web. I own a paint and body shop and rebuild late model trucks and SUV's for a living. For fun I restore muscle and old trucks [and golf a little] but I saw that I might be able to help in the area you need the most help with you project. if you have some questoions just shout or send a pm. There are no stupid questions everyone started at zero knowledge/ability at some point. Jim

Re: New to this forum

Hey Ol Blue,

nice to know someone is close by. The truck is still in my grandpa's garage. I am still trying to make space for it by selling one of my other projects. Then I will have the space and time to move forward.

Where is goodyear rd?

pm me if you want to chat via email or google talk or something.

Re: New to this forum

Goodyear Rd is off Lake Herman Rd. Go past the Texaco/Jack in the Box about 1/2 mile. It's the industrial complex on the right, My truck is usually parked out back by warehouse roll updoors
