lowering a 67 3/4 ton

I have a 67 3/4 ton GMC with a dana 60 rear end and leaf springs. I want to lower the rear end 4 inches. What are the options to do this?

I have the same truck. I did swap the rear to a 5 lug but I just removed leafs until I reached the height I was looking for. Mine is a camper cruiser so I am not sure if I have more leafs than your truck but I think I removed 5 leafs.

If you are going to haul things in it i dont think i would remove five leafs without putting air bags under it also. I have a c20 with leafs and want to lower mine also about two inches and improve the ride some. Let us all know what you do and how it turned out. terry

GMC PAUL'S SELLS LOWERING SHACKLES AND SPRINGS FOR C 20 trucks. You could achieve 2" with shackles. Installing a flip kit would lower the truck and keep load range up.

Mine is a Camper Cruiser too. The flip kit sounds like a good way to go. How much will that lower it? Will I need to C-notch the frame?

I think that will drop it like four or five inchs with a flip. Yes you need to notch it.
