Re: Numbers matching?

No idea what you have, its not a Rochester number. The photo shows the location of where you would find the carb ID number. Typically when you go to a parts store and buy a carb that is "re-manufactured" they will add the little metal tag to it as you describe with a number that means something to them. I have never seen a reman that had the original number on the side removed.

Re: Numbers matching?

Here is another good resource for looking up Quadrajet numbers. Hope this helps clear things up.

Re: Numbers matching?

#'smatching - if the tag is round I read that it's early Rochester.
...and gosh everybody thanks for the links. Really turned out to be informative. It doesn't look like it will be difficult to find the correct carb. Any 69 350 m/t will be close enough until a perfect one surfaces. I might go take the one off my 76 formula or the 85 custom camper beater sitting in the back 40. Shoot my el camino might even work since it has a crate with all the comper stuff deleted. I'm so caught up restoring my 73 cj and this k20 I wasn't even thinking of all the options. Still, stock and correct being the goal.

Thanks again,

Nim
