Well...sold my truck :(

Sold the ol' girl an hour or two ago. I've had the truck for 9 years. Never was able to get it fixed up like I wanted to though. Just didn't have the funds since I lost my job a while ago. It was a good truck though, I used it as my daily driver while I had it. The guy who bought it said he was going to fix it and then sell it at auction. He even said he planned on painting it the color I wanted to paint it...aqua blue. It was the first and only truck I've ever bought. Maybe one day I will get another one.

I feel your pain. I let my '63 go due to the lack of funds and motivation. I also hope to get another some day.

Sucks when you have to let them go, but the good news is that the General made hundreds of thousands of these. So if you find the need/desire to own another, it won't be too hard to find one

Re: Well...sold my truck :(

I bought my '63 when I turned 17, first vehicle I ever purchased and only truck I have ever owned. 17 years later and I still have it, but lack of funds just barely keeps it around. I have let go of the house and so many other things, but my wife and I have a serious attachment to my truck.

I was the one who got hit. Some guy in one of those little tuner cars did that. Long story short, I got blamed for it even though I had witnesses who said it was his fault, went to court over it, got no where, plead no contest and paid $50 fine.

Re: Well...sold my truck :(

Think I need to change my user pic now. Think my user name needs to be changed too. Of course I think one day I will buy another 63. Just have to get another job, then fix my 68, and get me a 69 Camaro first. Want a 69 Chevelle also. Better start playing the lottery I guess.

Re: Well...sold my truck :(

There is always a "next truck". I've had to sell projects over the years, it sucks each time. But it's for the big picture and there is always a "next truck".
