but i completely agree with you. what i was trying to say is that the faux-tina seems to be missing what is a big part of patina. that being surface rust, scratches, dents and dings which comes naturally from being a truck. sorry for the misunderstanding. faux-damage is totally different than faux-paint.

Been working on my patina paint job.[IMG]
![]() After first coat of Rustoleum Black Brushed on. Then rolled on Rustoleum rust metal primer. [IMG] ![]() Then painted the top Rustoleum Satin White in spray bomb. [IMG] ![]() Then painted the bottom Rustoleum Lagoon Blue/ Green. [IMG] ![]() Next will be wet sanding to get the patina look. |

This is my 37 and it's all Faux-Tina. I even have pics of the whole process. The bottom of the doors had putty in so I dug it out and there was sheet metal welded in and dented. So with alot of work I left the putty out and showed the crude metal work. If you look close enough you can see it at the door bottom.

Made a paint both in the basement and painted the bed and bedstrips today. Next step will be wet sanding the bed to get patina look.
