I hope not too many agree with you. Nice body panels are getting hard enough to find without being helped to get dinged, dented, or rusted. There's plenty of that crap out there. If you want rust, find it don't make it. IMHO

but i completely agree with you. what i was trying to say is that the faux-tina seems to be missing what is a big part of patina. that being surface rust, scratches, dents and dings which comes naturally from being a truck. sorry for the misunderstanding. faux-damage is totally different than faux-paint.

Been working on my patina paint job.[IMG]

[/IMG]What I started with.
After first coat of Rustoleum Black Brushed on. Then rolled on Rustoleum rust metal primer.

Then painted the top Rustoleum Satin White in spray bomb.
[IMG]

[/IMG]
Then painted the bottom Rustoleum Lagoon Blue/ Green.
[IMG]

[/IMG]
Next will be wet sanding to get the patina look.

They are boss 338 in 20x8.5 with 5.25 backspace. I did have to grind the front rotors a little to fit. I love the wheels though.[IMG]

This is my 37 and it's all Faux-Tina. I even have pics of the whole process. The bottom of the doors had putty in so I dug it out and there was sheet metal welded in and dented. So with alot of work I left the putty out and showed the crude metal work. If you look close enough you can see it at the door bottom.

It is 3.5 in front and 5 in back. Used 2.5 drop spindles and 1" springs in
Front and 5" drop springs in rear.

Made a paint both in the basement and painted the bed and bedstrips today. Next step will be wet sanding the bed to get patina look.
