Re: ww2 and bomber style trucks

Board member MOTOIMPAIRED built a killer military themed truck, here is a link to his build thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=486223

Don't know what I did wrong but I can't get the link to work???

Re: ww2 and bomber style trucks

Ya, Its not all bad but I have logged 1400 hours on it in the last september. I still have 3 or 4 months months to go. I would rather be working on my 70. I did forget to mention that I do work a 50 hour a week job before the bomber and the truck. my wife is very understanding.

Re: ww2 and bomber style trucks

Wow! I would like pics of the progress. I venture to say this is not a kit but handmade.

Re: ww2 and bomber style trucks

It is a way to time consuming hobby. I have been building and flying for 15 years (gave up the car hobby for this) and just can't put the time into any more. So I am back to the hotrod hobby. It will have all panel line and full rivet detail when done. Working brakes, retracts, bombbay and full detailed interior. customers total investment will be in the 40,000 range.

Your browser copied the truncated web address instead of the full address in the copy function. Here is the link to the military themed truck referenced above by RenoKeene.

70CHEVYBB awesome scale B-17. Largest my dad and I undertook was a Bud Nosen P-51. When we got that box of balsa we quickly found a fiberglass fuselage and foam wing blanks to sheet. That's a lot of work. Is that all built up? Wings too? How'd you like to dumb-thumb a $40K plane?

Props to you man. I just went through a&p school, and from experience, buckin rivets isnt easy so im thoroughly impressed. Ive been working on a c47, so ive got ideas for a ratrod with rows of rivets or ive thought about building switch panels and gauges in my truck for aviation themed. Including an oh-58 cyclic as a shift handle.
