TN 3 speed manual with complete OD setup

I have a 3 speed manual trans with OD,linkages, cable, handle and solenoids out of a 69 CST 10, for sale for $500 obo, in good working order. I also have a 69 lwb rolling chassis with 307, and all the chassis components with a 4.10 rear end.

This was a factory OD transmission that was cable operated from inside the cab, your 3 on the tree operates normally while disengaged, but if you engage the overdrive handle, mounted on the bottom of the dash, you get an overdrive addition to third gear. There is also a solenoid, mounted on the carb linkage, to act like a passing gear, at full throttle the transmission goes back into standard 3rd gear.

Yes I think so on the driveshaft, think its a 21% of, don't hold me to that...

the OD unit is the same length as the regular Saginaw tail cone, so no cutting the drive shaft shaft or changing mounts is required if your truck had a 3spd manual to begin with. the center shaft in the trans is different at the back end to fit the overdrive. the R10 unit used on Chevy's had a .70 ratio, whereas the more rugged R11 unit found on Fords had a .72 ratio. they are not a direct swap, unfortunately.

you can swap the center shaft and drill out the hole for the reverse lock out rod to adapt this setup to a Saginaw 4spd. there is such a 4spd all built and for sale on eBay right now.

my 72 Suburban C20 has a 307 with 3 on the tree. i picked up one of these transmissions a couple years ago, but I need all the equipment to operate it. doubt you'd be willing to separate, so would you take $500 w/ shipping for the whole setup?.....if yes, I'lll TAKE IT!!!

since we can't all have this one, there is a complete truck same setup ('69, 307, 3spd OD) on Craigslist in Florida right now. i wanted it, but that's a long drive for me.

going to give UPS a call when i get a chance, unless someone has a better idea. i've had terrible luck with Fedex, so not going that route!
