I'm pretty sure ou need to replace the throttle shaft too, I took a look at one I have stashed away for my Scottsdale project and it has a completely different shaft to attach to the throttle cable and tv cable then the stocker still on the originally engine. I pulled the 454 tb our of a 95 burb I believe and the stocker is from an 88 350

Yeah from what I have read, switching to the 454 tbi brings more headaches than it is worth. Plus rebuilt 454 units are just as expensive. None of it is cheap though. Going to be right at $500 for a completely rebuilt and bored 46mm tbi with flow matched cop car injectors and an adapter plate for a carb manifold.

By the way, to update the thread. The 383 vortec stroker was ordered yesterday!!!!!!
