Thanks yellow72.If that was 285 horse than I guess I don't need 400!It was so fun.I loved that 350.I guess it was the 366 foot pounds.I don't know.But I smoked by buddies caddliac which has beat alot of stuff.

get some 4.56's man, they are great, but my 78 chev 4by tends to tach out at 75 though, but it will just bake em, even with a stcok 350

whats involved in a whole rearend swap? is it just a matter of unbolting shocks, u-joints, and removing brakelines and slamming the new one in?

Pretty much....remove the panhard bar, U-bolts, break loose the drive shaft, and disconnect the rubber rear brake hose. Then install the new axle, bleed the brakes, and drive off
