95 stock exhaust
so I have a 95 3/4 ton long bed 2500 with the 454. Its a 96 model though - it has the newer interior, im not sure what else is 96 on it though
my question is what is the stock exhaust configuration? right now my cat is after the muffler, is this correct? |

Re: 95 stock exhaust
No, my what I believe to be is stock 96 exhaust is a dual with a cat on each side, then to a dual in single out muffler, then it continues on out to the rear passenger corner.

Re: 95 stock exhaust
Model year 95 was the transition year, so they have the old drivetrain (non-Vortec) with the new interior. I'm not sure about the stock exhaust but you converter(s) should be right after the exhaust mainfolds with the muffler being towards the back.

Re: 95 stock exhaust
The cat could be behind the muffler in stock form. And am unfamiliar with the trucks but have worked on several 95 big block suburbans that had the cat after the muffler.
Posted via Mobile Device A 96 would have cats right after the manifolds and then the muffler |
