Emblem locations
Hello,
I'm looking for a FAQ or site that will show me the correct locations for factory emblems. Mainly the 67-68 C10 emblem that goes on the fenders and the 8396 that are located on the lower front fender. PO put a 396 in my 67 and I like the look of those emblems, so I would like to put them in the correct location. I have all the emblems, just need to install them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You guys helped me out earlier today and I thank you for it. Rick |

Re: Emblem locations
You should be getting on the mailing lists of some of the parts vendors. www.lmctruck.com is one. Classic Industries catalog can be gotten in a CD-ROM format that is free. There are others.

Re: Emblem locations
ok cool. I agree with you then on the location you chose.
In 69 and 70, they would have been located below the C/10 or CST, or 20 or what ever badging it had... then moved up to the marker light location in 71 and 72. |

Re: Emblem locations
Technically your truck would have the bowtie, with a 10 underneath it towards the back of the fender. I think the 396 emblem would look out of place under that bigger emblem. The later years would have it under the marker light. With no marker on yours, i think it would look out of place there also. Not sure what to tell you, but do what you like...

Re: Emblem locations
I think I need to be more clear on what I'm asking. I have the the large c10 (bowtie) emblem for a 67. I want that to go in the correct location. Since the PO put in the 396 I want to put that emblem in front of the wheel where it would have been on (as Longhornman stated, on a 71/72). I think they look cool there. What I need is the measurements of where these emblems would be. Make sense?
Thanks for all the help. Rick |

Re: Emblem locations
I put a set (under the markers) on my 69 too. On the 69's they went under the emblem (between the door & the wheel opening). I like them better up front like the newer ones...

Re: Emblem locations
I'm looking for this too. Sorry to resurrect a 5 year old thread but it was never answered. anyone have any measurements? I'm doing the same thing, except I'm putting 350 emblems under my markers. Thanks!
