Tire size for 20's?
So as I price tires for 15" wheels, I feel like I am tossing money away since I know I won't stick with them. I really like the Torq Thrust ST 6 spoke wheels in a 20" size. They are 8.5" wide with a 5.5" backspace. I prefer to run the same tire size all the way around so I was looking at 275/40/20 tires. Will these be too wide for the front? My future plans also include a 4/6 drop from ECE.

He's wanting to run the same size all the way around, using 8.5" wide wheels. I think he would be better off going 255's rather than 275's on those wheels. 275's are good on 9.5 or 10" rims, but the sidewalls are going to look like Chris Christy in a pair of 34" jeans. JMO

Re: Tire size for 20's?
thanks for the suggestions. Turns out everyone is sold out of the wheels and there from the places I spoke with they don't expect to be in stock for 60 days. I need tires now so I went ahead and bought tires for my rallys. I will probably end up with 20's in the long run so I will keep these sizes in mind. I like the idea of a fat tire up front like a 275, but if it won't fit I may have to go staggered.
I would have to say my 05 ram came from the factory with 275/60 on factory 20" rims(8" wide) but maybe they didn't look too fat because of the tall sidewall. |

Small World I pass by there every Sunday on my way to church. Can I ask where you got the helper bags to go inside your rear springs?

Re: Tire size for 20's?
I ordered them form jeg's racing. If I remember right they were for a Jeep and I ordered extra spacers.
