Re: fan motor
Dude, punctuation. Please.
Yes you can run a wire from a switch to the fan motor but it will be full blast when on. |

Re: fan motor
Just a note - depending on temperature and humidity, circulating the inside air over the glass may work or have almost no effect clearing the windshield. And you'll need the defroster flap functioning to direct the airflow toward the glass. Just running the fan inside the cab will have very little effect on defrosting the windshield.
I have the economy heater and in sub freezing temps the only way to keep the windshield clear is to have the heater on full defrost and keep the driver side vent window open too.

Re: fan motor
I put one of these fans in a 64 GMC 6000 that I drove all year round that was equipped with the Economy Type heater and kept the window cracked as well. It was a battle to get the moisture out of the cab. The rubber mat never seemed to dry. You'll find them in old school buses. They were installed into Chevrolet/GMC trucks into the 70's. Originally with metal cages, now the cages are made of plastic. Nice in the summer as well once you rotate it towards you, makes your passenger envious though.
