New wiring harness questions
Im trying to find out what you folks have used and recommend for a "direct fit" factory style replacement harness for your 67-72 trucks. I'm looking to replace a complete harness. Thanks!

I bought an American Autowire kit, but haven't installed it yet. Looks nice though!

Re: New wiring harness questions
I got mine at Early Classic. Not sure of manufacturer but it already had all the connections made. No crimping, cutting, nothing. Just plug it in and go.

Re: New wiring harness questions
On that one from ECE I ordered it for HEI and one wire alternator. No cutting of firewall for fuse box. All factory correct wire colors. Very simple and fast. The under dash, engine, and front harness took about an hour but my cab was stripped. I had no old wire to deal with...

Re: New wiring harness questions
I boought a complete front end light harness and an engine harness (with HEI wire) for my 1972 GMC from Wes at Classic Heartbeat. They are made by M&H autowire. A direct plug and play fit with all the factory mounts and tabs. Wrapped with the correct "tape", and has the plastic run channels where needed.
Great product. Gary

Re: New wiring harness questions
I'm almost positive that's the manufacturer of the one I got from ECE. They are nice and like stated above, all correct tape, tabs, etc

Re: New wiring harness questions
Just looked on ECE's site and didn't see anything, did you have to call to order?

As for installation? Perfectly easy. I'm an Idiot. So, if I can install them, anyone can. Costs a little. But, for me, I saved up for all the harnesses on both trucks and now I don't have to think about electrical gremlins.
