Rear end Brake question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Looking at a five lug rear end that has no brakes.

WOuld the brake components from a 6 lug set up work:

Backing plates,
internal springs and such
Brake cylinder
Ebrake items

Requiring only a 5 lug drum to make the conversion complete?

Or am I seriously wrong?
