67-72 K10 gear ratios...

I've been trying to find some information on what gear ratios were available in the 67-72 K10s. Does anybody have any documentation as to what the gear ratio options were for each year in the series?

Re: 67-72 K10 gear ratios...

There's available and what was standard. I'm pretty sure what was standard was 3.08s with automatic and 3.73 with manual. 4.10 was an option and maybe...maybe 4.56? (I'm kinda thinking no)

Re: 67-72 K10 gear ratios...

Longhornman has this down for sure as far as what is standard (because optional gears would be listed in the SPID) but I don't know if he includes 4x4s in that list? or even if they are different from the 2 wheelers?

Re: 67-72 K10 gear ratios...

From what I've seen, the ratios I listed are standard. I'm just not 100% positive on options other than 4.10 and 3.73 w/automatic. I've never seen a manual with 3.08.

Re: 67-72 K10 gear ratios...

In this thread posted in October, about halfway down, somebody posted an image that looks like it is out of some sort of factory documentation for K20 gear ratios. Just above the K20 chart you can see what looks to be the bottom of the K10 chart:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=546053

And here is a nice chart for the 73-87 trucks, the only drawback is that it doesn't break down what gear ratios came with what transmission options for the 73-80 trucks:

I have the Jimmy in my sig which was a SM465/3.08 posi from factory, and I have another '72 project that is about 1200 serial #'s different that is TH350/3.73. Not sure if Blazer/Jimmy translated to same as K/10 but would not surprise me.

I think 4.56's were only for K-20's though...

my 68 K10 had 3.73's and a 4spd.
