hey everyone, its been a while but i still look in from time to time.. and still love the trucks. well i havent really done much to mine but clean up the engine area... but.. my question is.. is anyone running glass pack? i found a set of 24" blue streak glassers and was just curious.. any info/time is apprecirated... thanks, keep them trucks coming!!

Smithy's on my wrecker, Brockman's on my 63, Smthy's on my 56 Belair
Brockman's are steel packs and more mellow, the Smithy's sound real nostalgic with a lot of miles on them, nice bark

I ran dual glasspacks when my '63 GMC still had the 305 V6 in it. I just put a 355 SBC in it and will be running larger pipes. The glasspacks are for 2" pipe. I still have a pair of Dynatones that were behind a flathead during the late '50's & early '60s. They had a great sound but are too small for anything in this age.

I had old school side pipes. Blew the packing out after swaping 283 for the 406 with 9.5:1 compression. One hell of a show in the garage on first fire. Ran 16" glasspacks on Jeep Wiley's. Loud and proud. Also on tow truck. Drop it down and it sounded like gunfire.

Years ago I bought a pair of cheap Summit brand glass packs and clamped them on just to get me to the muffler shop for a new set of pipes. They sounded pretty cool, but were really loud with no tail pipes. I've been using Flowtech Terminator mufflers since the mid-80's and prefer the exhaust note much better.

I have some on mine. They are 30inches long on21/4 pipe run out in front of the rear wheels. They are pretty loud when next to a wall or something. I plan on running them out to the back and that will help. Going to keep them on as I love the sound.

Im running some long Cherry Bombs on mine with 4" tips!! It sounds bad ass!!

I had cherry bombs on mine for a couple months but after getting way too much attention from the cops in a couple of cities I go through regularly, I decided to go with mild turbos.

We ran Cherry Bombs on my son's Pontiac Lemans with the stock 326 and it sounded bad ass. Had a very distinctive sound and I always knew when he was almost home because we could hear him coming down the street. Once we get the exhaust leaks on the truck fixed I could see us putting them on this vehicle as well.
