1bbl rochester
hey board...i have a 1bbl bc rochester carb. the problem im having is that i just rebuilt the carb and having an issue with burning to rich. i already adjusted the gas needle screw and still the same. but this is my the first time rebuilding a 1bbl carb. so im thinking its the float level i really dont know were to measure the float level. can someone help me on were exact is that measurent on the little ruler that came with the rebuild kit. also i have a manuel choke.....but is not hooked to the exhaust to warm up at cold start... can that effect burning to rich when idling? all helped appreciated

To set the float level turn the air horn upside down & measure from the gasket to the bottom ofthe foat. It should be 1 9/32. There is a hole in the base of the carb. Make sure there is a passage way from that hole to the inside of the manifold so it can get vacuum. Make sure the ball in the discharge nozel is seated & the power valve nocks it off & moves freefy.
