The name "Longhorn" is becoming generic to signify any 133 inch wheelbase truck with a pickup body on it. Kind of like "Coke" is a generic term for any off-brand cola. I'll straighten him out, but "ExtraLongsteps" have got it all over "Longhorns" in the "cool" factor category anyway. Who wouldn't want 6 more inches?

I could argue the step being cooler than the longhorn....but I won't.

I know where Andy was heading, and I have to agree. The way the fleet side truck bed is integrated in to the cab is what set our "glamor" trucks apart from anything produced before and after the 67-72 design. I just happen to be twisted enough to like the step bed trucks more than the fleet That's why I traded my clean short fleet for a clean step bed on my 71 GMC. Then I come across this 9 foot step, and knew immediately that I found my calling...in fact, I think since the board has a fullfootnotch and a longhorn man, I need to change my name to 9footstep

The 9 foot step is cool in is freak/bastard child way. It's kinda like when you look at an AMC gremlin witha 401 in it. You say it is sick, but then as you walk away, you say to yourself...that's a pretty dam cool deal there.
I would love to have a one ton step to park right beside the longhorn. In reality, it is a more rare truck by the production numbers, but it looks so out of proportion that it just looks funny.
That's my take on it anyways.

Come on! You know you need 6 more inches! I agree with Dtilly, steps have it all over fleets. Theres something about them pontoon fenders. But if you don't want to dare to be different...

and the only think out of proportion is your # of posts in comparision to your membership date (J/K)
