Front disks acting weird.

I don't know what is with me and brakes lately, but my disk brakes(pretty sure) are making this odd sound kinda like wwwwmmmmmmm wwwwwmmmmm( haha im not crazy). This only happens around 10-18 mph follows by the disk letting a squeak out. Brakes feel normal, stops great. Now this happens when I ease onto the pedal, but if I quickly apply force its doesn't make that sound, but does squeak. Replaced my squeaky worms belts the other night now the brakes are driving me insane. Ideas? Thanks in advance yall.

Re: Front disks acting weird.

Gotta look at them, no way around it. Of course you could check the lug nuts first without any headache but that's about it.

When I got my latest truck a couple of months ago, I spied new front brake lines and it stopped like a brand new truck. I never had a reason to look at the brakes until I needed to measure the rotors for drop spindles. To my surprise both rotors and pads are aweful. Still stops on a dime.

Re: Front disks acting weird.

Im not sure how the pads are. I will look into it. It just seems odd that is started making noise out of the blue and not gradually.

Re: Front disks acting weird.

I've had that noise before. The dust caps were distorted and allowed water to get in. It washed the grease out ant rusted the bearings over time. But the noise was consistent. Just pull the wheels and take look. Probably won't be hard to find.

Re: Front disks acting weird.

if the backs wear ,get outa wack , it can suddenly make the fronts work more
may notice more dipping
the wear indicator is a small bit of hard steel, rubs the rotor when it wears out
or may rub rust and make anoying noise?
