If your are replaceing a manual trans with a automatic you gotta get the manual trans crossmember out of the way and its rivited too the frame hence "getting the rivits out"

of course some people just cut the crossmember out. thats not fun either

I may be doing this soon. What type of difference did you notice? Did you pull old one out and Stab new one in with rotor pointing same way to match old one? Thanks

Talking Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Replaced the old oil pressure senor. This one keeps the motor running as long as there is 5lbs of oil pressure to it.
It was leaking so I took it out. Have no idea why it was leaking though.

Here is the new one.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Cold start up is the first thing I noticed, it used to crank over for 5 or 6 seconds before starting when cold, now it just fires up. It also runs a lot smoother and seems to accept the throttle smoother as well. I have not run it enough yet to check fuel economy.
I checked the timing location with a light first, I couldn't find the timing specs on the truck anywhere, so figured it'd be close enough.
Yes, all i did was pull the cap off the old distributer, took note where the rotor was pointing, and dropped the new one in at the same location. Once it was running, I just set the timing light up again and used the same number the old one was set at, +7 at idle.

Put on 4 1" spacers, I did not like how far the wheels were under the truck.

Can you post some more pics when done? I added 1/4 spacers but want to move them out a little more.

I know you weren't asking *me*, but I just did this day before yesterday.

With the different angle of the shots, these pics are as close as I could get to "before" and after" moving the 1" spacers from the rear to the front,
and installing new 1.5" spacers in the rear.

Naturally, tire size and wheel size and backspacing are all-important to fit and stance, but this may give you *some* idea. It appears to be a bigger
(I think *better*) change in the front than shows on the pics. And the 1/4' wider in the back is really minor. But I like it better than before.

I boought mine from US wheel Adapters, it was right around $220 for them shipped to my door. I know they are really nice looking fit great but did not shop around to see if I got a great deal or not but Iam happy with them.

when I get it out of the my shop I will take some more pix of it, wanting to paint my front drums before I install the front and its real cold here..
