I am not shipping this out out of the USA due to the size and risk of damage. This is a super nice USED GMC narrow tailgate band I picked up a couple weeks ago. The orange has been repainted and looks great. Once again this isn't perfect and has some minor scratches but is an exceptional USED piece. Price is $150 not including shipping. These are VERY hard to find especially in this condition.

Are the pictures in post #1 of the second one you have for sale? I'm curious what this might look like on my truck. I've always been disappointed that the body guy pushed me to use an aftermarket tailgate on my truck. I hate that it doesnt' say GMC. This band would be the cleanest solution, but think it might look funny with the existing trim pieces.

It is the same one pictured. It attaches with 5 screws. I think it would really make your truck look nice and I don't think it would look out of place at all since you have the upper an lower mouldings.

It would look great on there, but just an FYI, I see you have an 81-87 tailgate, just make sure it will fit flush, it may be too wide to fit that gate?

THANK YOU I never noticed that. When we put a newer bed ('81+) on the '80truck I had no idea that the tailgates were that different (and why didn't my body guy just pick a re-pop tailgate from the proper year). Now I regret that swap even more

I did some searching and it sounds like if I want the truck to look original I might end up having to find an older gate (they should all interchange with proper hardware). If I'm going to do that I'll need to get the custom color-matched bed liner re-sprayed on the inside after painting to match. Might as well find an OEM GMC one the proper trim level at that point (ugh).
