switched 12v under the hood

I need some power for my new electric choke carb. They say dont come off the coil, hei or alternator.

Any ideas on something else to tap onto without running a new wire from inside the cab?

It would be best to run a wire to the fuse panel. Tap into an unfused switched terminal.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: switched 12v under the hood

I ran it out of the fuse box i was debating which one to use and now cant remeber if I used a spare slot or the cig lighter. Then I got home tonight and couldnt remember if the cig lighter is even switched. doh. I only tested with a voltmeter with the switch on. ill check that out tomorrow.
on the positive side the truck fired right up with the new carb and choke.

Re: switched 12v under the hood

pffft had a couple millivolt draw with ignition off on the radio as well. Battery is getting a workout.
Changed it to another switched free spot in the fuse box and tested it at 0.00mv with ignition off.
