The light will glow white, and brighter too.
This is a pic that josh posted of his inst panel lit up at night with the inside painted white...looks good. As for the needles...why do you want to pull them off? You can paint the guage what ever color, and then paint the needle another color by cutting a slit in a piece of paper and sliding it up and around the shaft. |

Black and Blue,
If you pull the needles, be sure and remember where the gas gauge needle was when you removed it. You will want to put the needle back on in the same location. The gas gauge does not have a stop like the speedometer so if you don't get it back in the same location, the gauge will be off. By the way, I pull the needles to airbrush them. Jim |

Did they use any specific color of white? And also did they paint the backs of the guages?

I used a gloss white rattle can and I painted everything that was green white so that if some one else everpulled my cluster a part it would not look half way done, but I doubt you have to paint everything white..

Hey JimKshortstep4X4 how come you did not tell me this? Did my pointers with flou.orange when I had my dash apart. First time I drove it afterwards I ran out of gas with needle on 1/4. Now when I fill it up it goes way past full.
