Re: phantom grille installed-pics

man, i say you keep the phantom grill. i like that 91 clip but it seems to me that every where i turn ans see a customized square body truck they are sporting the burb clip. kinda boringto my opinion. besides that phantom grill adds class, roughness, and a good stance all together just my .02

Just had to give you a hard time. I know what you mean by lack of space.

Re: phantom grille installed-pics

I just bought my 82' and would love a phantom setup exactly like yours. I currently have some sort of 90's grill. What all do i need to get to have your end product with your phantom?

Re: phantom grille installed-pics

the more i look at your pics im thinking color match the bowtie on the grille or a polished one, new mirrors and wheels and that baby would be over the top!

Re: phantom grille installed-pics

thanks, I kind of like the color matched grill but i just think that a billet phantom grill would look killer on it.

I will post more pics in a new thread.

I love the look of the phantom grille on that year(s) of Chevy trucks. Looks clean and so, so cool!

Re: phantom grille installed-pics

Your truck looks awesome. I noticed that in the before shot you have the dual front headlights, and in the after shot it looks like you have just a single headlight configuration. I have a 1991 suburban with the same dual front headlight setup and was wondering what needs to be modified to make a phantom grill fit. any info would be greatly appreciated.

This is almost EXACTLY the same idea I had for my project, I just plan on putting the gold part of the bowtie the same color as the finished body color, which will be Candy Cherry Apple Red, and have it surrounded either by gold or the same parchment marble color I plan on putting on the side, like a mix of cream, white, and peach most likely.

I'm not a big fan of the 91 grill's either (sorry guys), but the pic below is how I think they look best.
that's the nicest one I've seen so far! .......I voted for the phantom before I read the thread, and I'd like to change my vote to the 91! lol.

that phantom grille was on the 81-87 dual headlight support, not the 91 rad support

if you look closely at the pics, you can tell (you can see the stacked headlights)

that grille is loooong gone, that post was like 2 years ago
