Newbie

1967 GMC 1/2 ton 327 automatic long bed ps, pb
Grandfather original owner 110k original miles

Would like to learn more about the truck, and advice about fixing it up a bit.
Curious of gear ratio, transmission... Son in-law swears its a turbo 400?
Never plan to sell it, is it ok to put on disc brakes and a/c, elect windows
Am I going to ruin value or?? Changed out intake and carb saved them just in case?

Any help appreciated

Re: Newbie

Welcome!!! This is just my opinion but BUILD IT LIKE YOU WANT.These trucks aren't concours vehicles and should be driven(my opinion again).I like trucks that look fairly stock but have driveability upgrades.Rear end ratio is most likely a 3:08.Look in the glovebox for a label(Called a SPID),it should give you more details.
