if this the original carburetor for my 1966 C10???

alright i just took the carb off my 1966 C10 and the numbers read as follows

7027105 2 barrel Rochester 2GC for a 283 V8

i realize it comes back as a 1967 year but could it still be original to the truck or even if it was a late model '66 would it still come up as a 1966 year?

Re: if this the original carburetor for my 1966 C10???

With the age of these trucks the carbs get changed out and traded in for core replacement. It took at least 2 too get a decent replacement for mine the pivot for the butterfly was worn and leaked. In answer to question I would say yes year end parts could overlap...

I agree, parts carry over to or from other years.

It still happens today. My late 2011 Toyota Avalon has the engine electronics of a 2012.

702 7 105 702= 60s carb, the next number 7 is the year its for =1967 and the 105 simplified explanation is its for a manual transmission. It is a 1967 Truck 283 stick shift carb. Jon

Is it equipped with a manual choke or an automatic?
