? on motors, trannys and transfers????

I have a deal brewing for approx. 30-40 motors (283, 307, 350, 396, 402, 454 and the big 500 ones) and approx. 40 tranny's and transfers out of 4x4's(4 speeds and AT's) and about that many complete front end and rearends (1/2 and 3/4 and 1 ton's). A bunch of heads, big and small block. These are out of 67-80 trucks. Anyway I have no place to put most of these and was wondering if there is any companies that buy these things in bulk. I mean motor or 4x4 businesses, I'm just doing some thinking here and really don't want to load and unload all these twice. I'll probably keep the BB's but try to sell the rest in bulk. I HAVE NOT DONE THIS DEAL YET!!! I'm just looking for a little helpful info. Thanks Randy

On those 4-speed trannies, do you have any SM465s from '73-'80 trucks with chrome shift handles and I am looking for a original shift knob for my '74, it looks like a '72 knob but has the pattern, L 1 2 3 on it. Sorry about highjacking the thread BTW. Thanks

Wow Randy,

You are the man. I think you do more work after work than most of us do all week long.

randy a engine rebuilding shop buys core's to rebuild...
theres a place here in carol stream....that sell rebuilt engines bigtime to wholesalers, autopart stores and etc...

if you call a few ,,like auto parts stores in your area and ask who rebuilds the engines they sell,i am sure you will get a few different names to go on...but that don't really mean there going to be in your area...

my buddy that own's a engine shop pays about 100.00 for a 4bolt 350 core....and about the same for a 4bolt 454 block

hope this helps

Well Mark, I think its going to happen. I'm getting all my ducks in a row for this deal. If it does happen I will be real busy, he has a 50 x 100 building full of parts, I'll be getting all these motors and stuff, plus about 20 more trucks, and alot of new aftermarket parts and ALOT of new NOS parts, and alot of used parts for these years. If I do it it will be late Nov. before I start it all. I'll let you know when it goes through, I can't wait but we are negotiating now. Thanks Randy

check some of the aftermarket trans rebuid shops in your aera, they may want to buy some of the cores.
you may also get some of the machine shops to buy some of the engine cores.
hope your getting a good deal on all of it.
