Just bought this 71 C10
Sold the short bed so had to reinvest. Found this 71 long bed about 80 miles from home,, back in the sticks. Has not been butchered up, starts, runs and drives. Even came with a new windshield and rubber. Bought it but could not bring it home,, too much ice on the owners driveway. 1/8 mile long ice slide for a driveway.

Re: Just bought this 71 C10
It is a cool old truck,,, but we usually buy longbeds for parts. This one is solid (except for the area above the windshield) enough to keep as a driver/shop truck. Haven't decided just yet. Got to get it home first.

Sure wish the thermometer would move up instead of down... Cold don't melt ice...

Re: Just bought this 71 C10
The guy just came from Kentucky to get the short bed I sold last weekend. I backed the Cheap Bastard truck out of the way,, or tried to. It wouldn't even move, a thin sheet of ice was still under it and I had to burn down through it. Enbarassing. Damn, I hate cold weather.

Re: Just bought this 71 C10
Sold the 71 Saturday afternoon. New owners came and picked it up Sunday afternoon. Bought them a new fuel pump, the old one was draining back. Thought that was the right thing to do and the young man getting it seemed to appreciate it. Going to start getting the 69 long bed ready to go next...
