Re: Upgrade to power brakes didn't work
It was the stinking (if I didn't have respect for the site that would be a different word) BOOSTER! Brakes work like a champ!
I knew she was trying to tell me something by running rough. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Upgrade to power brakes didn't work
glad got it resolved! Frustrating when new parts are not working, those are the ones you expect to be good!

Re: Upgrade to power brakes didn't work
Were they new or used parts? The impression I have is they were used.

Re: Upgrade to power brakes didn't work
They were used. I bought the whole setup together in an attempt to make it easier. That proved to be incorrect.
It's ok, though. I now know a lot more about how the upper half of the brakes are setup. I don't mind fighting her, as long as I get my way in the end. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Upgrade to power brakes didn't work
I bought a complete kit (MC and booster) from Brothers awhile back. Just put them on this weekend and it still feels like I have manual brakes. Could the booster they sent me be bad?

Re: Upgrade to power brakes didn't work
Anything you buy new has the possibility of failing. Are you generating enough vacuum? Did you bench bleed the MC before installing?

Re: Upgrade to power brakes didn't work
It seems to me that if you have vacuum to the booster and everything is bled properly, it should work. There is a world of difference in the feeling of my brakes, now that I figured out the problem. With buying the MC and booster together, I can't imagine it would be the booster push rod. I guess you gotta call them. Good luck. Lemme know how it turns out.
