Thumbs up this bb saves me again

Saves me $ and a headache.

Yesterday i wake up to go to my chiropractor appointment. I go out fire up the beast let it run for a few and i am off like a prom dress. I roll to the end of the island and flip a ***** and i am gone. Well, almost gone. What’s with the truck liking first gear so much that it wants to say in first?

Well, i came back home and checked all my fluids tranny, a little low, but acceptable, same with the oil etc.

So i take it out for a few runs around the block and it will shift from one to two manually, but in drive it just hangs out with first gear.

Finally i said F--- it.

Today i washed it (cause you know clean trucks run better and all right so any way. i can't figure it out, haven't driven through anything that might have pulled off some hoses or anything.

So i log on come here and after reading through about 5 pages of threads i find my answer. It has to be a vacuum hose. So i crawl under and what do ya know. Hmmm, shouldn't this hose be connected to this nipple? Let’s try it.

Trip around the block and it shifts as smooth as ****.

I won't go as far to say i am mechanically inept, but when it comes to trouble shooting, well, i lack the experience i guess.

So any way - to all those who share all their knowledge and experience so freely thank you.
