3/5 drop question
I bought CPP drop springs 3/5, question is do I need an adjustable pan hard bar and drop shocks for this setup? Also any pics of these setups would be awesome, thanks in advance.

Re: 3/5 drop question
Yes, you do need to change to adjustable panhard bar and shocks

Re: 3/5 drop question
If you go with 2-1/2" drop spindles up front and cut 1/2 of a coil off the springs, you wont need shorty shocks up there. In the rear you will need either shorty shocks or shock relocaters, adjustable pan hard bar, and a C-notch is recommended for anything beyond a 4"...Especially for LWB's and if you plan to haul or tow anything. Any thing beyond 1" drop springs up front will change geometry and require shorty shocks...I have the 2-1/2" drop spindles with 2" drop springs and 4" drops in the rear in the first photo. I took the 2" drop springs out and reinstalled the factory springs with 1/2 coil cut offs up front because the 275/60/15's were rubbing in corners and bumps. Second pic shows 3-1/2" total drop front and 4" drop rear on a 72 C-10 LWB...

Re: 3/5 drop question
I already have the 3/5 springs, trying to avoid "c" notch, the truck is a lwb but will only be a weekend cruiser, no hauling. I should be OK with just springs and a front alignment, correct?

Re: 3/5 drop question
Your going to need the shorty shocks all the way around and the adjustable panhard bar. Then the alignment...What kind of wheels and tires do you plan on running?

Re: 3/5 drop question
Plans are for 17 or 18 wheels, with as much rubber as I can get without rubbing

Re: 3/5 drop question
You will be fine without a c notch. I currently have a 5 3/4" rear drop on my 68 and all I needed to do was trim the bumpstops. As for the panhard bar, YES and adjustable bar is needed.

Re: 3/5 drop question
I'm running a cpp deluxe so it would clear my aluminum diff cover I would recommend one through ece or getting a cpp one from summit racing and keep away from cpp directly

Re: 3/5 drop question
I only recommend products from ECE. I've never dealt with McGaughys, so I can't really say anything about them. I will not deal with CPP directly again, EVER.
I have the Super Track Bar from ECE and it works great. I also use the same KYB shocks that ECE sells and they have worked great as well.

Re: 3/5 drop question
Don't forget the rear shock relocator kit someone above noted, this is a must have item to keep your shock geometry correct.

Will do, hopefully I can package shocks, relocaters, and track bar and be done with my lowering kit.
