(you never know when you will need to tow somthing, and wish you would have made it so you can.)

Can I see some stance pics, and a quick suspension rundown and tire wheel size?

Example: pic, firstone 2600 all around , dropped spindles and 235-60-15 on 15x8's

Thanks,Lance
The 2600's are good all around, up front they're perfect and they're better than a sleeve bag out back, for towing, because they can hold nearly double the weight per corner.

Any well designed system will give you a plush caddilac style feel. Very comfortable. You can also make them handle well too

Well..either way your talking minimal differences between the 2500 and 2600 bag. On our type of trucks with the trailing arm, the bag is sort of in a leverage position. This is why the double convoluted bag is used versus the sleeve bag that cam was talking about. On later model trucks where a 4-link or leaf spring setup is used, the sleeve bag is used because that setup is in a 1:1 ratio, whereas the trailing arm suspension is closer to a 2:1 ratio. Even still your talking about a bag having the ability to support 1300 lbs each which is more than most tongue weights of trailers and trailer hitches.

If it were me I'd stick with the 2600 lb bag upfront and the 2500 lb bag out bag. Your not sacrificing your towing capacity, but you'll gain a little in the way of comfort from the ride.

Wasn't it AIM that started that whole 2500lbs, 2600lbs stuff?
I'm not being a smart azz. I use those numbers also from time to time when I'm trying to get someone to understand the differance between the bag sizes.
I know it used to chap Tony's hide when people would refer to firestone bags as 2500 or 2600. hehe.
The Firestone numbers are confusing and change from time to time. And now with other companies jumping in it's hard to keep up. I think I need a program.

SAY! Justin, can you guess who this is.
I'v been away from this "on line" stuff for a while.

i am running slam es-82s all the way around. i am going to switch the fron to es-72's before to long. the 82 is to much bag for the front. it maxes out the suspension easily. i can definately say i wouldn't ride anything else, but i may try the new airlift bags.

Frank! My long lost teacher! I just asked Jon a few weeks ago if you were still alive and kicking! Man..glad to see you back!

As far as the 2500 lb 2600 lb thing...it's just easier to describe than using proper terms.

I mean..how many people actually know the difference between a f6957 versus f6873?

Then you have the 224c and the 255.

and then with airlift and slams added in that adds the 2b7 and the es-82, hs-82 and such...

so therefore I stick to the 2500 lb and 2600 lb anymore and save myself all this typing.

Man..it's great to have you back frank!

I bought a set of rs-72's for the rear and planned on running rs-82's up front. Should I use the 72's in the front and put 82's out back? or run 72's all around? How do the 82's ride in the back? I think I would gain an inch of lift with the 82's, but I don't want it to be to rough.

Who sells the bag brackets and cups for the front end? and rs-72 or 82's, pending lotik's reply?

is your truck bodydropped? are you trying to lay frame? 72's will max out the front suspension for sure. it wouldn't hurt to run the 82's out back, but it doesn't really matter. it also depends on where you mount the bags.

No, it's not bodydropped, and I'm not trying to lay frame. I want my ride height to be about a 4/6 or 5/7 drop. The front has 2 1/2" drop spindles and the rear bags are in the stock coil location. would the 72's ride softer out back than 82's. what combo would be better to get the truck level( or slight rake) at ride height.

Thanks,
Jay

#f9000 is the rear sleeve bag by firestone most commonly used...

make sure you use a limiting strap with them...or if the bag overextends..it will pull the bellow of the ringed end..

Been there, done that and it's no fun.

It's easier just to use the shock to limit the suspension than adding limiting straps but either way you'll be fine.

The first one is from airlift. The second one is from captain kaos. it's very easy to make your own brackets.
