Re: Front shocks on a lowered '84
Mine are pretty off at the top too. I've got a 6" drop up front and none of the drop shocks would fit. Literally, fully compressed (or at least as much as I could get them) they were too long. I finally had to measure the distance between mounts and find a comparable car shock. The ride has been fine. Since then I don't buy into paying more for drop shocks. Just find the right application and make it work.
On the other hand, if the angle is off enough to concern you, relocate the mount. Doing so is on my "one of these days" project list.
