Quick question...97 2wd wheel bearing tools needed?
I am traveling out of town this weekend and a buddy needs my help to change the wheel bearing on the front of his '97 4.3 2wd once I get there. I know it's an easy change, but I don't have an exact match in my driveway, so I was curious what exact tools I needed to take without hauling an entire toolbox. He has basic sockets, but I didn't know what the caliper bolt situation on this truck was...T55 torx or a 6pt? Also, can I get the spindle nut on this model with a big crescent or do I need the correct socket for that too? Anything else besides standard sockets and a breakover handle I might need? Sorry for the elementary questions...just trying to pack efficiently and not have to buy new stuff when I get there and wasn't sure if he had anything different on this 97 than I am used to.
Many thanks in advance!
