Re: dash pad replacement

To me the dash pad is not that hard Me.I like leaving the seat in i feel that is it easyer with the seat in Now working on the inside Heater and AC system Now that's another story all by it self.

But the one job i though was going to be a bear and worried me to death was the out side4 Heater Box and resealing it.But after the hood is off and the springs are moved it's a cake walk.Make sure you have every thing inclueding the controller and cables.

Now i have a friend that bough the wrong controller he was suppose to buy the heater only but bought the AC He put it in and he loves it.The blower motor switch went bad 1 year later. He read that he had to take the hole unit out. Then he found out he had the AC unit instead and the blower switch cost him 14.00 He told me and showed me it blows harder the the 2 speed heater switch he use to have.

My next heater truck i work on and own I will be putting in the AC controller instead of the heater one

Re: dash pad replacement

I just stumbled across another option for you. LMC sells a dash pad COVER, that supposedly looks original. You basically leave your old dash in place, and install this over the top of it. This means you wouldn't have to remove the old dash
