Window wont roll up 1956 chevy stepper

I was rolling up my drivers side window and something broke and fell in the door. Now the window won't roll up or down. I pulled it up. I have not taken the panel off yet to look. Does any one know what broke and fell in the botom of the door. It is a 1956 chevy strp side. Thanks in advance.

check for one of the rollers on the window crank. if it broke and fell off the arm might have jamed, but then when you pulled up on it, it came free and you were able to roll up the crank.... if that is what happen i think they sell new rollers to repair it... "just a thought"

The hand crank turned free after it broke. it was like something got in between the gears and then it broke. when it stopped it took very little pressure to turn the crank. Maybe some one will post a diagram of the workings of the crank.

The connector link from the scissor x fell off. I got another one from a friend to see what's wrong.
