Building Solvent tank help please
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me what the process is in building a solvent tank. I have a sink already but I have no clue what kind of pump to use or what kind of filter set up it needs or how I could build them....any and all help would be greatly appreciated..... Also any product suggestions as well.....ex. Good pump to use.....thanks devan

You could always just use diesel for your solvent and then use an electic fuel pump. Filter could simply be one of those el-cheapo inline Fram fuel filters on the suction side of things. But you can usually find a housing for a spin on fuel filter, which an electic pump will suck fuel through just fine.
Diesel seems to work well enough for anything I work on. Mind you, it leaves the oily film on everything so if you need parts to be clean and dry afterwards, you may want to keep a can of brake cleaner handy for a quick rinse. And diesel is cheaper and more readily available than solvents around here. |

go to harbor freight and buy a replacement pump with hose, i think i paid $20 or less for mine. i just sits in the tank.
