Re: how rare ?

Welcome newb. I'm not sure I'd say rare (yet) as much as I would say very well optioned. Very nice set of options you have there.

Interested in more detail - is this a C10, 20, 30? Color(s)? I'll assume not a K10/20/30 since it's got a 402.
And, probably most important, for desirability/pricing (vice rarity), is trim level - Custom/Custom Deluxe/Cheyenne or mid-year release Cheyenne Super?

Depending on the above it just might be fairly rare.

btw, 3.73 is not the factory or option rear for a 71 402. 3.54 was stock.

Looking fwd to some more detail and pics! Welcome!

Pretty sure 3.08 was standard on a v8, but 3.73 WAS an optional gear in a 1/2 ton. I think 3.54 was a 3/4 ton thing.

Re: how rare ?

3.07 was standard for 1/2 ton (12 bolt rear), 3.73 was optional. 3.54 was standard for 3/4 ton (Dana 60), with 4.11 being optional. If I am wrong somebody will correct me.

Re: how rare ?

Good point Scott, the 3.54 may have been only big block C20s, I thought it was both C10s and C20s. In C20s, I think it applies to both danas and eatons.

On another note, I always thought the opposite for 1/2 tonners: 3.73 standard and 3.07/4.11 optional(?) Or was that just for sbc C10s? My info doesn't break out big block vs small block vs rear end ratios until the C20 level.

Re: how rare ?

The way i understand it, 1/2 ton V8, 3.08 was standard, 3.73 was optional, 1/2 ton I6, 3.73 was standard.
