Wanted: Front axle

First i don't know if this the appropriate place for this topic so if its not let me know and i will post where it should be.

I am in need of a drivers side front axle for my 89 chevy silverado 1500 4x4. I need the peice that bolts to the housing and all the way to the peices that connects to the wheel. I will end up replacing all joints and bearings or whatever is their but i want all the stuff so i know what i will need when replacing it. I have tried searching for a new axle but no luck, perhaps someone can help me find one and give me a price? I don't have alot to spend and want to get it done before winter so hopefully someone can help me out otherwise i guess i'll have to check out the boneyards around here.

Its called a half shaft go to your auto parts store. You can replace these without completely tearing apart your a-arms also don't let them tell you otherwise either. We used to run these trucks as plow trucks and would replace a set at least once a year. You will only half to remove brake assembly. Hope this helps

Does anyone have an extra laying around that is no good and they don't need? I need one for a core and the junkyards don't have one. Unless autozone doesn't charge a core fee.

I bought my truck with this peice broke. The guy unbolted it and then cut the shaft by the wheel, so i need the peice for a core. Can be in any and i mean ANY condtion aslong as its there and for the drivers side.

If no one has one could you please check the junkyards for me and give me a price? I would greatly appreciate it.

Anybody have one or maybe they could go to a bone yard and see if they have one and let me know a price. I have tried all the places around here and no luck. Hoping someone has something.
