You guys are right... I am over my initial frustration of this not working as intended... How hard would it be for the manufacturer to say "will not work with idiot light dash"...
I have a line on a gauge cluster that will work with this... I think I will be back in business soon! Thanks all! ![]()

idiots use a different metal piece with tabs for the lenses
the newer black surround is plastic but can't tell when in tho

Does anyone have pictures of the back of the Tach/fuel gauge and the instructions for the GM salvage part?
