Need Help with paint choice
Hey guys! I was considering painting my 68 either a creamy-white, or silver. What are your opinions, and can I see some pics of your trucks in these colors?
Thanks |

Here is one for sale on c-list that you may like. I did not really think I would like the lighter colors on these trucks until I saw this one.

I like blue myself. Maybe a mid 70s corvette blue to keep it period correct.

Re: Need Help with paint choice
This thread has a few pictures that might interest you. Ivory (off white) looks very nice and a red interior really sets it off.

Re: Need Help with paint choice
Here is the correct 523/553(two-tone) silver for 67-69.

Re: Need Help with paint choice
I am new to the board, so I have never posted until now, and I have no idea what I am doing! I have attempted to attach a picture of my (former) 1971 C-10 with a 1968 front clip. I painted it cream with flames 12 years ago. I recently had it torn apart for a solid color repaint, and I lost the bed and big block in a fire. I have replaced it with a complete 1970 CST short wide bed truck project. It is completely apart, but is going back together dressed in original black with a red interior.
Anyway, I recommend the cream also. Even though it isn't an original color, it looks really sharp on these trucks. I have more pictures of this truck if you are interested. This shot was taken on the beach at Daytona during bike week. Brian |

Re: Need Help with paint choice
I realize that everyone isn't into flames, but here are a couple more pictures of my cream colored 71 (with 68 front clip).
