73+ steering columns
So I've been thinking about my options for steering columns since I'm converting to an auto from a manual. My understanding is the van column is the way to go if I'm not going with a 67-72 column. Is the only thing keeping us away from using the 73+ truck columns that the key is on the column?
Since the 73+ columns are plentiful I was thinking about the idea of installing a "push to start" button on the side of the column in place of the key cylinder. What do you guys think?

Re: 73+ steering columns
I'm interested in the answer to this as well. I grafted a 57 dash into my blazer so the column doesnt need to be 67-72.

Re: 73+ steering columns
They work. Just use the column ignition and stick a second lighter in the dash. I like keeping them how they came. But,you gotta admit, some could benefit from the extra theft deterrent.

Re: 73+ steering columns
I had one parts truck come in with a 73 up column and I didn't like how it looked. It steered the truck, however. I have a pile of van tilts if you wanted to meet up with me.
