Re: Welp,, blowed my S**t up again
The CompStar Callies or the Crower was next on my list at around $700-$800
It came down to a choice between the Olivers and the Callies Ultra both around $1200 because of the 'as-built' stroker clearance the Olivers came out on top,,, besides, I have the identical Oliver rod in the Nova motor so there is some common ground there. Hope to get the pile of crap back before the weekend because we have a race Jan 5th,, and it's dune season so time to work of crap is limited. Not to mention that bastage in the red suit and gray hair. ![]()

Re: Welp,, blowed my S**t up again
When I did Chevy engines back in the day I used Beck.
http://www.beckracingengines.com/per...roducts_id=230 They have done 2 race motors and 1 motor for my pro-street for me personally. Best Chevy engine builder I have had experience with bar none

Re: Welp,, blowed my S**t up again
It's all back together,,, just waiting for the next race. Speedworld was shut down by the State, Firebird is .... well is Firebird and will be history very soon,, hopefully the tribe will hasten their efforts to re-open under a new name,, Have a ADRA race in Tucson March 9th. That may be it's first opprotunity to continue the 666 saga. Drove it to lunch a couple of times, good temp and pressure, everything is golden as usual but no place to really 'stretch it's legs' around here, but all seems well.
Tuscon being a IHRA track I took the throttle stop off and we'll see what happens. Maybe it was just pissed off because it had that stupid air cylinder in the throttle rod ... ![]()
