Question Clear Valve Covers

Well I have the clear diff cover may as well buy a set of these to go along with it! What do you think? $250.00 a set, anybody have a better price on them. Does anybody have them on a working engine by chance to give some feed back? If I buy them I will have to take the rockers all off and paint everything to make it pretty inside the covers.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Yea just like the gear cover but it says it will drip right off after you cut the engine off.

At idle, oil gurgles above rockers showing complete valve train movement.
Oil sheets off valve cover after high rpm engine operation in about 30 seconds.

Re: Clear Valve Covers

did you build "The Visible V8" model in your formative years? Have never seen anywhere other than that... So, no lower price found. But if your diff is clear, might as well go all out.

Nope never did, I always wanted one though!
I'm going to call about them tomorrow and see what the best price they will give me. I like to have them but not for $250.00!

Yes I did..... then I disassembled it, put a light coat of vaseline on all the moving parts and reassembled it leaving the bellhousing off. Then I chucked the rear of the crankshaft into a drill motor......

Do they make a clear air cleaner? That would be cool to watch the air going in the motor

Re: Clear Valve Covers

My buddy got these for a ford 351, he's got bright orange roller rockers, looks super cool. He hasn't started it yet though. Hopefully they don't just get covered in oil and fog....

Cool Re: Clear Valve Covers

Well as I stated in another post. I wished they made Lexan body parts like model cars. Then you could paint it from the inside and it wouldn't get scratched up like metal does.

Something like this.
