Nice truck! Any engine shots? How do you like it compared to the C10?

Re: 1948 Chevy Hot Rod aka "Big Worm"

I never thought to get engine shots LOL!! I have had bunch of the 67-72 and 73-87 trucks and I like this more than those just for the cool factor. Just wished it had a little more leg room and a lower gear in the rear. It has 3.08 in the rear and is a little sluggish taking off but cruises and rides great.
if I think of it I will try to get some engine shots tonight.

Re: 1948 Chevy Hot Rod aka "Big Worm"

Nice clean truck man!! and who doesn't love a classic Chevy pickup in orange? What kind of front end is under it? M2 or does it have a late model clip under it. The first picture makes it look like the front wheel is a little to far forward, but it could just be the angle of the picture as well.
That interior looks like this truck was made to cruise in comfort. Thanks for sharing the pics with us

Re: 1948 Chevy Hot Rod aka "Big Worm"

Its the pic because that was the first thing I looked at when he told me it was clipped.
Now your question on the sub frame is good one because I was told it was a nova sub but the steering box is in front of the wheel, I thought all novas had the box behind the wheel closer to the fire wall.
I need to find out for sure because the steering box is leaking at the pitman arem and I was just gonna replace the whole thing.

I dont really like how they clipped it but it is very strong just not as clean as I would have done

Re: 1948 Chevy Hot Rod aka "Big Worm"

I've heard in the past, but don't quote me on this being correct, but all Nova steering boxes after 1973 were mounted in front of the A arms. Everything prior to 73 was a rear mounted steer. We have a 73 Nova clip under our 58 GMC and it's a rear steer.

Any pics of the clip install?
