? for Canadian members

Quick question for you canadian members. Where is a good place to order new bedsides from? Preferably a canadian distributer, and if at all possible close to Winnipeg Manitoba. I may be considering going from a LWB to a SWB, and am curious on the price of bedsides. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I know there was one place in Winnipeg that somebody posted about just a couple weeks ago.

Then there is also Scotts in Calgary.

Any place that deals with Grandwest (should be enough of them in Winnipeg) can get Goodmark metal.

I have a nice pair of LWB sides for sale if you need some

You will have to cut down your frame if you want to put a SWB box on

yeah, I know, I am just trying to get ideas about what some of these things will cost. I am still trying to decide what to do with the truck, and what my final goal will be.

For the record, Scott's is about 1.5 - 2hrs North of Calgary. It's just South of Red Deer in Penhold and I never seem to make it there before he closes!

I was quoted $800 for each short box bed side from the local NAPA store. Maybe you could check out one near you. And the beauty of it is that they won't charge you shipping. If you order from any parts place you will have to have them shipped to you.

Scott's

Scott's Super Trucks are in Pennhold, They also have a toll free number. 1-800-GMC- CHEV. I hav purchased lots from them just a few weeks ago. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. There were a few parts that were on Back order, and they let me know right away when to expect them.

They also have a website:www.scottssupertrucks.com

It won't cost you anything to ask them.

And NO I don't work for them. It does sound like a commercial the way I am talking them up, but they helped me through my build-up.

You can look-up parts at http://www.crosscanadaparts.com/cgi-...da/index.html. They have distributors all over the place and they'll tell you where if you e-mail them.

Also try Pro-Body. They used to be close to Polo Park, but now I think they moved out to Lagemodier.

AS some of you may know I also used Scott's in Alta. and was VERY pleased. When my order was delayed he picked up the tab( a big one) for shipping. Seems like a guy who knows how to win a customer.

I have a pair of long fleetside bed sides to sell also if anyone is interested. They have a couple dents and some surface rust, but are original 72 bedsides in ochre
